Dads of Tampa Skool builds brotherhood, accountability, and wellness among Tampa Bay fathers โ serving the dad who shows up every day for his family but has no one showing up for him.
"In the fire service, you mask up before you go in. You check your air first โ because if you can't breathe, you can't save anybody. Nobody teaches Dads that. That's why I built this."Jason Centeno โ Founder, Retired Philadelphia Firefighter & Adoption Advocate
Every fatherhood program attacks the problem from the outside in. They hand a dad a curriculum and tell him to be more present, more patient, more engaged. But nobody asks where he's supposed to get the energy for any of that.
We attack it from the inside out.
When you board an airplane they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first. Not because you don't care about the person next to you. Because you're no good to anyone if you're unconscious.
We put the mask on the dad first. Strong fathers don't come from programs that tell them what they're doing wrong. They come from a pack of men who remind them of who they already are.
Dad Skool (DBA: Dads of Tampa Skool) is a Florida nonprofit corporation dedicated to building brotherhood among Tampa Bay fathers. Jason Centeno spent 23 years as a Philadelphia firefighter. He learned one thing above everything else. A firefighter without a trusted crew doesn't last long. Neither does any dad without one.
Real relationships between real men. No performance. No posturing. Just dads showing up for each other.
We hold each other to a higher standard โ as fathers, partners, and men in our community.
Mental, physical, and emotional health for dads. You can't pour from an empty cup.
Dad Skool is committed to full transparency. Our governing documents are available upon request. We maintain compliance with Florida Chapter 496 and file annual reports with the Florida Division of Corporations.

"I was looking for an accountablity group. Dad Skool isn't just a group, it's a pack. There's a difference and you feel it in week two."โ DOTS Community Member
DOTS launched in 2026. These are our real numbers โ we'd rather show you honest momentum than inflated claims.
Dad Skool is governed by a volunteer board with expertise in mental health, nonprofit development, and community leadership. Our board is actively growing โ open seats available.

Retired Philadelphia firefighter, adoption advocate, and community builder. Jason founded DOTS after recognizing that the men who show up for everyone else rarely have anyone showing up for them. He built the brotherhood he needed.

Licensed psychologist and former firefighter. Dr. Garcia brings clinical expertise in men's mental health and lived experience as a first responder to DOTS's wellness programming. He understands the cost of silence among men.

Sr. Director of Development at Liberty University. Steven brings 9 years of board service at SafeHouse Outreach Atlanta and deep expertise in nonprofit fundraising, major gifts, and organizational development.
Every dollar donated to Dad Skool goes directly toward our mission. We maintain audit-ready records from day one.
Dad Skool maintains clean financial records from formation โ not just when required. Our Pre-Formation Expense Log documents all startup costs. Our goal: be grant-ready before we need to be.
We use Zeffy for all donation processing (0% platform fee โ 100% reaches mission). A dedicated nonprofit bank account is maintained separately from all founder LLCs.
